Australian Masters Snooker Championship
ENTRY CONDITIONS
- Entrants must be a financial member of a Member State of the Australian Billiards and Snooker Council (ABSC), and in good standing.
- Entrants must have a date of birth before 1/1/1985
- Entrants must be an Australian citizen, & not represented another country in International competition for a minimum of 3 years.
- A completed online purchase for entry to the event (including payment) constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions and is required before any player is permitted to compete. Entry includes online transaction fee.
- By entering this tournament, I acknowledge and agree that:
- I am bound by and must comply with all SBNSW Policies, including but not limited to, the ABSC Policies adopted by SBNSW – the ABSC National Integrity Framework, Anti-Doping Policy, Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy. - it is my responsibility to be familiar with these policies; and
- a breach of these policies could result in disciplinary action being taken, as outlined in the complaints or discipline procedures for the relevant policy/ies.
- I have read and understood and agree to abide by the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy, effective from 1 January 2021, and found on the Sport Integrity Australia website (https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-wedo/anti-d...) being the anti-doping policy adopted by the Australian Billiards & Snooker Council and applicable to all members, participants and nonparticipants.
- All players are required to complete the Sport Integrity Australia Anti-Doping Fundamentals on-line course which is available on the Sports Integrity Australia website – https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/inde.... You will need to create an account to access the course, and once completed you will be sent an electronic certificate of attainment that you may be required to produce as a condition of entry.
TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS
- The Tournament will be played subject to the Rules of Snooker as prescribed by the WPBSA.
- ABSC Playing Conditions and all matters pertaining to the Player's Code of Ethics will also be adhered to. Any breach of such rules or non-adherence to standard etiquette may result in disciplinary action being taken against the offenders. See: https://absc.com.au/governance
- Players eligible for prize money will need to provide the Tournament Director with their bank account details. All prize money will be paid by way of bank transfer.
- Tournament dress code must be complied with by all players. Formal attire must be worn for all games: long sleeve predominately plain coloured shirts buttoned at the wrist, bow ties, dark trousers and dark coloured dress shoes. Waistcoats are required from the Quarter Finals onwards. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in forfeiture of the game.
- All players are to report to the Tournament Director at least 15 minutes before their allocated starting time and be ready to play at that time. Any player not in attendance when called to the table will forfeit one frame. After a further 15 minutes has lapsed, the absent player will forfeit the game. This also applies to players not correctly attired at the starting time.
- Smoking or vaping is not permitted on the premises. Consumption of alcohol is not permitted whilst involved in a game.
- Changes to these terms & conditions may be made at the discretion of the Tournament Director, and I agree to abide by any such decision.
- INDEMNITY: All participants enter at their own risk. None of the ABSC, SBNSW, Club, sponsors, or organisers shall be liable for any loss, injury or misadventure however arising.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
- Format will be Round Robin groups, consisting of best of 3 frames, progressing to a seeded knockout draw.
- Round Robin will be conducted on Thursday + Friday & ALL players will be required to play on Thursday 1st May.
- NOTE: Should a large number of entries be received, some players (mainly locals) may be contacted to play one of their Round Robin games on Wednesday evening.
- Play will commence at 8.45am each day. Round Robin games will be played on a 'roll-on roll-off' basis
- Prize money subject to entries and sponsorship.
- Players to referee their own games, a room referee will be available. Referees will be provided from the last 16 onwards, subject to availability.
